How can I break it?
I completed my Bachelor of Science (BS), Computer Information Systems degree from DeVry University. During my studies, I focused on database management, software engineering, and technical writing.
I found that I enjoyed breaking things more than creating them.
I took my first job as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer after graduating and found my calling.
I have been working in QA over the past 15 years and have even moved into a Lead QA role.
I have a knack for finding the weird and unusual bugs.
I have worked at Moxiworks for 4 years as a Lead Software Quality Assurance Engineer, and previously 11 years at Imprev as a QA Engineer before being acquired by Moxiworks . During my time there I played a pivotal role in migrating from a manual testing process to an automation-driven approach, resulting in an increase in testing efficiency and a reduction in regression testing time. I was responsible for creating and maintaining in depth test plans, communication between teams - developers, stakeholders, and program managers, writing and maintaining automated test suites, creating and tracking defects in bug tracking systems, and maintaining overall quality of the application. I also created feature documentation and training. I also have the skill and courage to ask the difficult or challenging questions that help to drive applications to excellence.
While getting my degree, I interned at Weyerhaeuser as an IT Integration analyst where I reviewed integration requirements and formulated detailed mapping specifications for data transformation, integrated messaging communications for B2B and A2A interface projects, translating native formats to a common message format (XML) to be used by one or many subscribers, generated test scenarios and performed impact analysis for several lines of businesses, developed adapter specifications based on analysis of interface requirements and existing standards, analyzed, approved mapping results, and tested interface messages and assisted with break fix analysis.
I have experience with various IDE's, API platforms and API testing, Databases, SQL, Cypress, Jenkins, JavaScript, Java, JIRA, Test Case tools, Agile, debugging code, test case creation and test case management, test planning, bug tracking, test automation, ci/cd, github, svn, buildkite, aws, JSON, Testing Methodologies – manual, automated, regression, unit, etc, Test Automation, Selenium, Postman, Performance and Load Testing, and many more.
I am a quick learner and can pick up new skills easily.
I am always eager to learn and advance my knowledge and skillset.
